Happy Birthday! My RAK for today was that I sent one of my former team members all of my files from being a teacher. I'm not going back to the classroom this year and I knew she would need them! :)

Happy Birthday! Your birthday week and my daughter's are in the same week. My RAK was actually for my daughter. Although she has a fulltime job as a secretary, she often has to supplement her salary by cleaning houses and babysitting. I folded and did all her wash so she could go hang out with her best friend at the beach and enjoy a day off from everything. The rest of this week i am going to look for more areas to do RAK. Thank you for letting us celebrate your birthday this way

First off, happy birthday!!!!
I did my sons laundry and babysat my granddaughter for a few hours while he ran errands on Saturday. He never gets any time to himself as he and his wife work two jobs each. I offered to keep her overnight but he said no.

Happy Birthday Nikki! My third grade class has decided to tackle teacher appreciation at our school this year. This week students made a welcome back apple card saying to have a great year. They delivered it along with individual trail mix packets for all teachers and their assistants and special areas. My students were joyous over the moon to brighten up a day. And let me tell you, each of the teachers came by at some point or stopped us to thank us for the treat. It really touched hearts. We plan to do this randomly throughout the year:)

Happy Birthday. You are in very good company. Many of my good friends have birthdays this week. My RAK - to give a fellow co-worker a big hug and tell her how much I enjoy working with her. We are teachers and we started back to school this past week and to say that this past week was tough is an understatement! Many of us have come very close to quitting.
While I spent the past three days in the hospital in extreme pain - spinal issues. I heard a woman in the next room asking for some help and she couldn't get any. I went in there and helped her out. Can't do much more than that.

I had to share with you...I have an acquaintance who has cancer and she just came down with shingles. Yesterday (Wed) she was on my mind and I couldn't shake the feeling I should call her. So I did. She was very depressed at first, but after 1/2 hour we both were laughing so hard we had tears. Such a small thing to call or talk to someone, yet it has a greater impact on someones life than we realize.
