Happy New Year!!! New Year Lucy Doris, Sports, Lucy Doris, and Valentine's Day 2016

Happy End of the Year 2015 my friends!

It's been a long time since I let you know about how we're doing here in Utah!

This year started off with the birth of my little granddaughter Landyn. She spent a week in the NICU, and gave us quite a scare! She is almost one, and is such a sweet and snuggly girl. She's got 6 teeth!

Nikson turned 2, and has become his own little man. He's got our whole family wrapped around his little fingers. He had learned to say " Ove you Mimi", and it gets him everything he wants, lol. I have done my best to spoil them with lots of love and kisses.

This is their visit with Santa at Christmas.... Poor Santa had had a long day I think.

Kella and Malli are doing great this year at school. 10 and 11 have been ages for lots of changes for my littles. Kella is now taller than me, and Malli is close behind. "Tween" life is sure a hormonal roller coaster! Both girls still love to draw, and are nagging me about starting up blogs for their art work again. We will see!

Maggie is still looking for her "spot" in life. She's tried out a variety of jobs and a little school this year. I think she's finding being a mom and adding in work and school is a lot harder that she thought it would be. She's blessed to have so many in her life that want to help her and have faith in her!

Mike had to have his knee replaced in the spring, and he recovered really quick. After taking the summer off, he has jumped right back into work with his snow plow. We're so grateful for snow! And for all he does for us. If I even have to start cooking again, my kids may go on strike, lol.

Last of all... me! I am looking forward to a new start this coming year, and have lots of plans! Melonheadz continues to be a blessing in our lives, and is looking to grow and evolve more each day. This journey has taken me places I would never have dreamed of. It has given me direction, purpose, and opportunities to serve and share. I am so grateful for it all, and so grateful for all of the love and support from each of you!

In honor of the new year, I am having a sale in all of my shops.
Just in case you need a little Melonheadz in your life to start off this next year!

WoW! I have been so spoiled by well wishes this
year:) Thank you so much for every single one! And also for the good deeds that
were done, they made me almost burst with hapiness!
Through this blog, I have met and made so many friends! Each and every one of you...
regular commenters, and just "peekers" make my "work" so enjoyable, and worth every minute. You're all such a blessing to me! I feel like I have been given the world!
LUB you all to pieces!

Birthday Diva #4

OK, so this morning it hit me that I should probably not tell you all of this stuff about me because.....
You now know what a dork I truly am....lol.
Do you remember Erma Bombeck? She wrote hilarious books about her family life.
Hollie, thank you for pointing out that that is MY life as well....lol.
Ok so.... today's story is more about the day I gave my brother a heart attack ( sorry Blair... ).
Blair and I were home alone one day while our mom was at work. I was about maybe 5, that would have made him around 12.
And..... pretending I was driving a car, I used a bobbie pin... for a key.... I stuck it in the closest
empty recepticle close to me... you guessed it... a light socket.
It blew me backwards and shot sparks out. Poor Blair...lol... he he he.... it's not really funny... *snort*.. He started to cry, smoke was coming out of the wall and off my finger.... bahahahahah... he called my mom, and my grandma had to leave work to come and check on me. I was in so much trouble!
it was a...
ShOcKiNg ExPeRiEnCe....lol!

Birthday Diva #3

More babbling....lol.
When I was 4, my mother and I were on our way to exchange some gifts that I had gotten
for my birthday. I was riding in the front seat (no seat belts were required then either), and telling my mom about a new TV show that I had watched..... anyone remember "The land of the Lost"?
Anywho..... As I was talking I went to roll down the window, and instead I grabbed the door handle.
The door flung open, taking me with it. Somehow my mother had managed to grab my arm. I remember looking down and boy was I running fast! Eventually my arm slipped from her hand and I landed in the road, hitting my head. I remember being in the ambulance, and knowing my mom was in the front..... and screaming my head off...lol.  Long story short, I broke both legs, my right hip, and my pelvis. I spent a long time in traction in  the hospital, and then was sent home in a body cast! I got really good at dragging myself through the shag carpet in the living room :)

My poor mom would cry everytime I mentioned it, even when I got older. Poor Momma.
K, so remember my packratness? I kept the silly cast for 20 years... seriously...lol. I finally threw it away when Mike and I got married!

'nuff babbling :) Thanks friends~!

Birthday Diva #2

My Mother always made sure I was dressed as best she could....
from my ribbon in my hair, to my lacy socks, and black patent leather high top shoes:)
Of course, I learned to be a pack rat as well .... lol.  I have that dress still, and have had pictures of
each of my babies taken in it! The shoes are on the book case in my living room.
