Happy Mother's day!

One of the earliest memories I have of my Mother, is of her rocking me in the rocking chair in our living room one night when I couldn't sleep.( When she passed away, she had enough rocking chairs that we each got one.... except Bart. No one knows what happened to Bart's chair. All I have to say to Bart is "neaner neaner!" Bart got my great grandmother's brass bed and feather tick. He also only had 2 wisdom teeth, when the rest of us suffered with 4. I think this is a fair trade :) ) The chair was really creaky, and she said it was talking to us...lol. All of the grandchildren were also rocked in it at one time or another.

Awwww...

My mother was a very talented seamstress and quilter. Some of my most prized posessions are the quilts that she made. Her stitches are perfect.... she told me mine look like a big running stitch...lol. When I heard this quote, it remined me instantly of her.

Today on my blog it's hug your daughter day!

We have 3 daughters, one I don't get to hug as often as I'd like to... but the little ones are hug maniacs... nothing like having a 5 year old run at you at full speed for a hug! Poor Mike... he he he, sometimes he doesn't hear her coming...lol.

She needs a break!
