Welcome to our home! We are so happy to share this day with you:)
This has been so much fun! (Please ignore the extension cords from our Christmas lights, lol)
We had a "diaper drawing" which was super fun. Everyone who brought a package of diapers could enter
thier name on a ticket to win the red bag of goodies on the table. It was full of a chocolate cookbook, giant muffin tin, and all sorts of yummy goodness. We also did another drawing for the quilt you can see, by drawing out an advice card that the guests were asked to fill out. I wish I would have used my camera instead of my phone, the pictures aren't the best.
We had a "candy bar" with red plastic bags that our guests could fill to take home. I also did Hershey bars with a thank you note from Maggie and Nikson for our guests as well.
In the back of the picture, you can see Mag's maternity picture, It's so cute! What a wonderful
treasure. We also had a finished quilt to tie, that turned out super cute. It has red with white polka dots on the back.
Another view of the table.... You can see a picture of My dad (Nikson is being named after him.....) in his dress uniform from the fire department. You can also see a photo of my dad and brother in their turn out gear, and just behind it is a photo of Maggie at about 2 years old sitting in Unc's pedal fire car. I can't wait to see them hanging in baby's room.
More decorations for Nikson from his Mimi..... I LoVe that the shower decorations can be used again in his room.
Meet Maggie :) 5 More weeks to go!
We played some quick games....( 2 of them are in the baby shower party pack), and gave out lots of prizes.....The Maggie opened her gifts.
Then we had lunch..... chicken salad and rolls, a veggie tray, chips, fruit, and white chocolate dipped oreos rolled in silver sprinkles (They were AwEsOmE!) Can you see the GIANT diaper cake from Kara and Momma Janene? How cool is that!
All in all, it was a pretty sappy day for Maggie, my sister, and me. Every time she opened a firetruck, we all bawled like babies.
What a blessing and a humbling experience, to see how family and friends can come together to celebrate a new life. Now for the hard part!!!! Waiting!!!!
Thank you friends, for sharing the day with us!
